Why You'll Love this Recipe
- Best preparation for Brussels sprouts! If you grew up eating boiled Brussels sprouts, you'll be very pleasantly surprised by how much better they taste when air fried to crispy perfection. You'll never eat them boiled again!
- Realistic for weeknights. There is a time and place for prepping fresh Brussels sprouts (like making Sheet Pan Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts), but sometimes real life gets too busy. Air frying a bag of frozen sprouts is fast and requires almost no prep.
- Amazing for holidays. If you've got Brussels sprouts on the menu for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year, save the oven space for recipes like Cranberry Orange Chicken Thighs and Roasted Cornish Hens and cook the frozen Brussels in the air fryer.
Ingredients and Substitutions

- Brussels sprouts. A 12-16 oz package of frozen Brussels sprouts fits perfectly in my air fryer. Many grocery stores sell bags of pre-trimmed and washed Brussels. Depending on the size of your air fryer you may be able to use a larger bag. If you're making these sprouts for a holiday or a larger family, you may want to make a couple of batches.
- Olive oil. I always have extra virgin olive oil stocked in my pantry, but if you have another neutral oil of preference, you can substitute it.
- Spice. In order to keep these Brussels sprouts as versatile as possible, I recommend seasoning with salt, black pepper and garlic powder. If desired, you can add additional spices like paprika, cayenne, chili powder, etc.
See the recipe card below for the remaining ingredients and quantities.
Optional Oven Method
If you're using your air fryer to make your main dish, like Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks, Air Fryer Rotisserie Chicken or Air Fryer Chicken Sausage you may want to put your Brussels sprouts in the oven so everything is ready at the same time.
Cook frozen Brussels sprouts in the oven at 400 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until crispy and tender.
Instructions

- Place the frozen Brussels sprouts in a large mixing bowl with oil and spices. Toss to combine.

- Transfer to the air fryer tray or basket and cook at 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes, or until crispy and fork tender. Serve with additional salt, pepper, or parmesan!
Sarah's Top Tips
- Remember all air fryers are made differently. When making any air fryer recipe, I'd recommend using the times in the recipe as a guide. Depending on your air fryer model, your Brussels sprouts may need additional cook time. You'll know they are ready when you can easily pierce them with a fork and the outsides are nice, golden, and crisp.
- Avoid overfilling the basket. Adding in several layers of Brussels sprouts will cause them to steam instead of getting crispy. If you are hoping for the best, crispy sprouts, you must cook them in a single layer.

Serving
Brussels sprouts are incredibly versatile and pair well with many proteins and sides. Try enjoying your Air Fryer Brussels sprouts with harissa chicken thighs, pan-seared pork steaks or oven roasted whole chicken.
Storage & Reheating
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. I recommend reheating in the air fryer or oven at 350 degrees until warm for the best results. If you reheat in the microwave the sprouts may become soggy.
