Warm weather means it's time to enjoy refreshing cocktails outside with friends and family. These strawberry Moscow mules are perfect for strawberry season but can easily be enjoyed any time of year.

Reasons to Love this Strawberry Cocktail
- A fruity twist on the classic Moscow mule. Adding frozen fruit not only makes these frozen mules fresher tasting but also sweeter!

Ingredients
- Frozen strawberries. Using frozen strawberries is essential to achieving a slushie texture similar to a frozen margarita.
- Ginger beer. Ginger beer is a non-alcoholic carbonated soda made from spicy ginger and sugar fermented with yeast. I like to use Q Mixers, but you can use your favorite ginger beer brand.
- Vodka. Tito's and Grey Goose are popular vodkas that work well in making homemade cocktails, but your favorite brand will work. You can even try a strawberry-flavored or mint-infused vodka.

Substitutions & Variations
- Substitute the vodka. Moscow mules are typically made with vodka, but don't be afraid to substitute the vodka with tequila, whiskey or bourbon.
- Switch up the frozen fruit. Frozen strawberries make a pretty pink frozen Moscow mule, but any frozen fruit will work, too. Try peaches, blackberries, or a blend of tropical fruits.
- No frozen fruit on hand? Freeze fresh strawberries until frozen, a few hours. Or, muddle strawberries and serve over ice.
- Substitute the spicy ginger beer. Ginger beer makes for a spicier, stronger-flavored mule, but ginger ale can be substituted in a pinch. It lends a similar, carbonated hint of gingery flavor.
- Make it a strawberry mule mocktail. Simply leave out the vodka and enjoy a strawberry lime mule.
How to Make Strawberry Mules
Step 1: To a high-powered blender, add all of the ingredients.
Step 2: Blend until smooth and slushy. Serve and garnish with additional mint leaves. Enjoy immediately while frozen.

- Use a high-powered blender. High-powered blenders are much more powerful and capable of blending frozen drinks quickly without heating them. This is essential to making the best icy cocktails at home.
- As always I recommend using fresh lime juice over bottled and fresh mint lives for the best flavor.
- Add additional mint, ginger beer and lime juice to taste. As with any cocktail, adjust the ingredients called for to taste. If you want a spicier cocktail, add additional ginger beer. If you want a tarter mule, add additional lime juice.
- Chill the vodka and ginger beer before blending. This will help result in a colder drink.
- Serve immediately after blending to avoid melting. Freeze glasses to keep the cocktails colder for longer.
🍓Serving
As with traditional Moscow mules, you can serve these in a copper mug, a highball glass, or a short cocktail glass. Always garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wheel or wedge.

- 2 limes juiced
- 1 ½ cups ginger beer
- 5-6 mint leaves
