Crispy Air Fryer Breaded Haddock (Ready in 20 Minutes)
This crispy air fryer breaded haddock is golden on the outside, flaky on the inside, and ready in just 20 minutes. Panko breadcrumbs give it a light, crunchy coating that crisps up beautifully in the air fryer. Perfect for weeknight dinners, fish sandwiches, or a quick homemade fish and chips night.
In a shallow bowl, mix the flour with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. In another, whisk the eggs. Add panko breadcrumbs to a third bowl.
4 haddock fillets, ½ cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, 2 eggs, 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Pat haddock fillets dry with paper towels. Dredge one fillet in the seasoned flour, then dip in egg, then press into panko breadcrumbs until fully coated. Repeat with remaining fillets.
Arrange the fish in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray. Lightly spray both sides with olive oil.
Oil or cooking oil spray
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until fish is golden and crisp on the outside and flakes easily with a fork.
Sprinkle with parsley, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, and serve with tartar sauce, fries, or your favorite sides.
Lemon wedges, Fresh parsley
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer; cook in batches if needed.
Thicker fillets may need an extra 1–2 minutes of cooking time.
Cooking oil is key for browning the panko evenly.
Storage and Reheating
Fridge: Store leftover fish in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Reheat: Air fry at 350°F for 3–4 minutes to restore crispiness.
Freezing: I don't recommend it, as panko softens after thawing.
