plain or whole wheat bagels sliced in half
½
cup
pizza or marinara sauce
½
cup
mozzarella cheese
Toppings: pepperoni slices
mushrooms, etc.
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F.
Add the bagel slices to the air fryer and bake for 1-2 minutes until slightly toasted.
Remove the bagels from the air fryer and top the bagel slices with sauce, cheese and your desired toppings.
Place the bagels back in the air fryer and cook for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
I recommend building from sauce up. Nothing makes a pizza like the sauce you use.
Homemade bagel pizzas become soggy after 15 minutes so I would serve and enjoy them immediately.
Add red pepper flakes for a spice kick.
Make them in the oven instead. These homemade pizza bagels can easily be cooked oven-style. Bake them at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Store pizza bagels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or wrap them tightly and store in the freezer for 3 months.
The best way to reheat is to bake the bagels in the air fryer at 375 degrees F for 3-4 minutes. If frozen, microwave for 3 minutes before baking.
