Instructions
Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
8 ounces wide egg noodles
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, ½ teaspoon of the salt, and ¼ teaspoon of the pepper. Cook for 5–7 minutes, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 pound ground beef, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper
Add the onion to the skillet and mushrooms and cook for another 4–5 minutes, until the mushrooms release their liquid and start to brown.
1 small yellow onion, 8 ounces cremini or white mushrooms
Stir in the garlic, spices and tomato paste and caramelize for 30–60 seconds. Add in the wine and deglaze the pan. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
1 teaspoon paprika, 2 cloves garlic, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, 1 cup dry red or white wine
Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, then add the Dijon mustard, remaining salt and pepper and the cooked ground beef. Bring to a simmer, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
