Roasted air fryer carrots are the perfect side dish. They are so flavorful, savory and easy to make! They are done in less time than oven-roasted carrots, making them perfect for busy nights. Serve them with my Roasted Cornish Game Hens for a delicious meal.
These carrots are ideal for any night of the week but can also be served with Thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas dinners!
🥘Ingredients
- Carrots. For 3-4 servings you will need 1 pound of whole carrots. You can use traditional orange carrots or tri-color carrots.
- Olive oil. I like cooking with extra virgin olive oil. You can also use avocado oil in this recipe.
- Garlic. I highly recommend using fresh garlic cloves to roast with the carrots. You can chop or mince the garlic.
See the recipe card below for quantities and remaining ingredients.
📖Substitutions & Variations
- Use tri-colored carrots to give yourself a beautiful and colorful side dish.
- Add some parmesan cheese to the carrots before or after cooking.
- Garlic powder will work in place of fresh garlic if you prefer it.
- Use thyme or oregano instead of rosemary.
- Make them sweet by adding some maple syrup or brown sugar. Or try my honey-roasted carrots!

Yes, you can use baby carrots. However, large carrots taste better when air-fried and roasted so I don't recommend them for this recipe. If you do use baby carrots, the cook time may vary.
Yes! Prep the carrots the same way and then roast the carrots at 400 degrees F on a sheet pan for 25-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.

- Don't overcrowd the air fryer. This will prevent the carrots from cooking evenly and properly.
- Carrots are done when they are tender and easily pierced with a fork. Cooking time can vary depending on the size of the carrots.
